On Saturday we hosted a Christmas Tea for 28 6-9 year olds. Wow. Somehow, with the help of several friends, we pulled it off.
First the girls did crafts upstairs in little groups of 7. Melissa recruited 3 friends to help out, which was essential.
They made Christmas trees, snowmen ornaments, and Rudolph pots.
They came downstairs after the crafts to have tea, hot chocolate, little sandwiches, sweets, and fruit. They were all dressed up and so well behaved. Well, until they got some sugar in them, including the marshmallows and chocolate intended for centerpieces. Then they got a little wild. But it was a great success, and one that I might consider having again next year!
